Mappage is a web app for looking at (and creating) interactive data visualisations. Most of the data shown are Australian census statistics.
Mappage is best viewed with a large screen and a mouse – most visualisations allow you to move the mouse around to see more detail. The controls are complicated and largely there for me to analyse data and set up visualisations.
Mappage is a long-term hobby project, started in 2008. Originally it was a page for anything I wanted to put on a Google Map, primarily sets of places like schools and churches. Then I got to colouring regions according to census stats and eventually statistics became the main thing, although Places mode remains.
